I tried learning “The Kids Don’t Stand A Chance” on keys today. It turned out quite nicely, albeit not perfectly. I did add my own spin to it, though. That I was definitely pleased with. It’s nice getting back to playing music. I grew up playing the piano and a little bit of guitar, though all of that experience diminished when I moved and was forced away from playing for a long time. It’s been around seven years since I last played the piano. It’s depressing how long it’s been and how much knowledge I lost, but I’m willing to gain it all back and more. I’m excited! This summer, I’m getting back into playing music. Piano, ukulele, and guitar. You betcha. Although I should probably take baby steps.

I wish certain people I care about could reciprocate the love I have for them. I know it might be a mighty lot to ask for, but even a little effort would be fine by me. It just feels nice to feel appreciated and loved. Not that I don’t feel that at all, because I certainly feel and receive it frequently. For some reason, a few of the people I “need” it most from rarely give anything back. I’m not going to lie, it does hurt. I try my best to shrug it off, but frankly, I’m sick of making excuses. It gets tiring after a while.
Ah, well. Tomorrow’s another day. I know I shouldn’t since I’ve been feeling dead tired the whole day, but I think I’m going to indulge in another episode of True Blood. Yay.
