(CNN) — The 8.8-magnitude earthquake that hit Chile Saturday was similar in intensity to the fifth most powerful quake recorded since 1900.
That quake struck off the coast of Ecuador in 1906. It is not known how many people were killed.
The biggest quake recorded since 1900 hit the coast of southern Chile on May 22, 1960. The 9.5-magnitude quake killed more than 1,600 and left about 2 million people homeless.
I keep getting tired of having to post my answers here via Tumblr’s ‘Ask’ option. But if there’s anything you’d like to tell or ask me, please feel free to do so on my Formspring, which is the link I provided you with up there. I look forward to hearing from you!

+ Kaity - kaitygolightly.tumblr.com
Kaity is one of my best friends, and I’m so glad she’s on Tumblr as well! She posts the prettiest pictures and I love her way with words. She’s worth the time and follow, give her blog a shot and I promise you might just end up loving her just as much as I do. But maybe not, because that’s a lot. Perhaps you’ll end up close enough, at least!
+ Jessica Elle - jessicaelle.tumblr.com
I think it really goes without saying that JE is one of the coolest people I know, if not the coolest of the cool. So cool that I just had to say the word three times in one sentence. Not sure if that even gives her justice, though. I probably should have tried 923840832 times, but you get the gist. Her blog is a favorite of mine, from the photos to the tunes and to everything in between. It’s almost as cool as she is!
+ Abbie - abagailpooska.tumblr.com
I don’t know, I just adore Abbie because she’s always so sweet. And so is her Tumblr! I think I’ve ‘liked’ about every single post she’s made because the pictures are just irresistibly pretty and god knows how picky I can be. In other words, go follow her right now!
+ Sammy - samsantos.tumblr.com
I don’t even know why I’m putting her on here because she already has a steady following as is, but as her sister, I feel as though I’m obligated to. ;-) However, Sam’s blog truly is a gem! Though chances are, you’re already one of the many, many people that follow her tumblr and hey, I don’t blame you. It’s definitely much more interesting than mine, and she’s only 12!

This week’s issue of New York Magazine is brilliant. I’ve been flipping through it and it’s just so cool to look back on the past decade, which for the most part (I think?), the issue does a decent job of covering. Still can’t believe we’re only a few weeks away from the beginning of a new decade. It’s really still blowing my mind but nonetheless, I’m very ecstatic (and morbidly fearful) of what the next ten years are going to bring.
The first of the two covers above is the one sent out to subscribers (it’s the one I got), while the one on the right is the one on newsstands. A handful of graphic designers competed to snag the cover, but only the ones up there made the final cut. The rest can be found here! Most of them are wonderful and pretty entertaining to see.. Especially seeing the past decade in an artist’s/graphic designer’s point of view. I suggest you get your copy, NY Mag always provides great and fun reads.
“Terrible Yellow Eyes is a collection of works inspired by the beloved classic, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.”
I’ve been following this website for quite a while now, and the artworks are just so brilliant. I recommend that you check it out, especially if you’re a big WTWTA fan.
Monsters Of Folk @ Paramount Theatre, Seattle 10/15/09
F my life. I really, really, really want to see them live.. Too bad it’s way out of my budget. Sigh. I hear they’re incredible, too, but I’m not a bit surprised.
List of artists performing at this year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest, on the 7th and 8th of November.
Ahh. Wish I could go to this, but alas.. It’s in Texas!
What’s funnier than this video is the fact that the url includes the “words” ‘dumbkidz’ in it. You crack me up, CNN.
I need an mp3 of this, stat. I’ve been anticipating his new album for a while.. I can’t wait any longer!
